Routing Tools for Plastics
Onsrud makes solid carbide, single-edge, spiral "O" flute routers ideal for the machining of common sheet plastics such as acrylic, polycarbonate, polypropylene and ABS. Our double-edge "O" flute tools are used to machine greater thicknesses of mechanical plastics like Delrin, UHMW and HDPE. Our routing tools' spiral "O" flute geometry produces large, tightly curled chips that readily clear the cutting zone, providing excellent edge finish with no chip-welding problems. We also offer solid carbide V-flute routing tools for the machining of harder, more brittle plastics, and high speed steel tools for operations such as hand routing where breakage may be an issue.
