The point and cutting geometry changed to allow the tools to cut easier and be resharpened multiple times. The goal of the tools has remained the same where high feed rates and tool life are the primary issues. Surface finish is still secondary but has improved due to the design changes. The EXHD tools provide more value per cut under extreme routing environments. Designed for rapid plunging, slotting, and peripheral routing, the tools lower the routing costs per cut. EXHD tools can take the rapid speeds, feeds and impact of high production single sheet and stacked sheet environments and last longer under these conditions. |
