60-100MC
Series
AVAILABLE NOW!!!
Compression tools are typically utilized for
routing laminated materials and the cutting geometry produces an optimum edge
finish on both sides of the laminated material.
We’ve named this tool the MC or Marathon
Compressions series because of the design improvements, advanced geometries,
and an added proprietary coating that can increase tool longevity by
approximately 31 – 50% over standard compression bits.
63-400 Series
AVAILABLE NOW!!!
When routing soft aluminum, the material itself can
pose “gumming” issues and decrease the tool’s performance -
decreasing your productivity and increasing your costs.
Made of Solid Carbide and being a single edge
provides a larger open flute design providing greater clearance for chip
evacuation. This tool is also coated with ZRN coating which aids in tool
longevity and chip removal.
65-200B Series
AVAILABLE NOW!!!
Ballnose tools are typically used to machine
contours within plastic material and in many instances, the slight
irregularities that arise during the routing process are adequate for the
particular application.
However, within the medical field, improved finish
is required. LMT Onsrud developed an innovative ballnose tool made of solid
carbide with a specially designed point and highly polished primary clearance
and flute.

66-900 Series
AVAILABLE NOW!!!
Routing composites can be challenging within hand
fed or CNC applications due to the abrasive nature of the material. Our New
66-900 Series Tools handles this routing issue by increasing the efficiency of
routing this material.
“Burr“ bits are tools designed with
diamond type patterns, basically grinding the material away leaving a produced
edge.
When developing this new tool series, we created a
new type of burr bit that will produce a true cutting action while producing an
actual chip, which removes heat from the tool and material – a leading
cause of tool failure.
This geometry also produces a smoother finish
possibly eliminating the requirement of a secondary operation and the tool
itself can be fed at a higher feed and speed rate lowering operating costs and
increasing productivity.

Marathon
Compressions
LMT Onsrud LP is introducing the Marathon
Compression tool series, which provides advanced cutting tool geometry and a
coating that protects the cutting edge against deterioration.
Below are the latest test results showing the
improved performance!
Location: LMT Onsrud LP Test Lab
Material: ¾” double-sided melamine
Tools Tested: 3/8” diameter Marathon
Compression and ½” diameter Marathon Compression compared to uncoated
tools
3/8” Diameter Tool Results:
46,690 linear inches cut for Marathon
31,123 linear inches cut for uncoated
tool.
Tool life increase of 50%
1/2” Diameter Tool Results:
40,020 linear inches cut for Marathon
33,500 linear inches cut for uncoated
tool.
Tool life increase of 31%
